Who Are Christmas Creations?
Christmas Creations was established in 2010 by Alex Walters to serve the commercial Christmas market. We provide clients with festive decorations and seasonal displays in a variety of locations across the UK.
We have extensive experience creating memorable installations at high footfall locations and iconic venues.
Over the past 15 years, we have built a reputation for delivering a great mix of quality and design.
How did it all start?
Christmas Creations’ first client was Enfield Council, where Alex previously worked in the theatre. We crafted a custom theme for the Aladdin pantomime, which led to being asked back year after year to design themed decorations.
Our client list quickly expanded to include restaurants, bars, luxury retailers, and various private clients. In 2012, the UK’s largest casino opened in the iconic Hippodrome building in London’s Leicester Square. Since then, we have provided decorations for Christmas, Chinese New Year, birthday celebrations, and special events.
Our reputation has grown due to our commitment to quality, unique installations, and attention to detail. We are the only commercial Christmas company in the UK to hold three ISO certifications: ISO9001, ISO45001, and ISO14001. These credentials show our dedication to raising industry standards.
As specialists, we never outsource or subcontract our services. We design, source, decorate, install, and manage accounts entirely in-house. This approach ensures high standards of quality and accountability for every project.
A Reputation for Quality
A name you can trust
Christmas Creations has been fortunate to work with some of the UK’s most famous buildings and landmarks. We installed a large Christmas tree at the top of London’s highest viewing platform, the 58th floor of Horizon 22. We also created custom archways decorated with over 10,000 baubles for the reception of 22 Bishopsgate.
We also take pride in decorating the two largest shopping centres in the UK: Westfield London and Metrocentre in Gateshead. These projects feature over 2 kilometres of icicle lights and neon-themed decorations. Such projects require months of planning and many late nights to ensure everything is installed smoothly.
Other notable projects include a 30-foot Christmas tree for London Zoo next to the penguins, contrasting with the tree at Hay’s Galleria, a beautiful wharf in London. The iconic Tower Bridge and the Tower of London have also appeared as backdrops for some of the custom Christmas trees we’ve installed over the years.
Our decorations are featured on many of the UK’s leading television shows, including EastEnders, The Great British Bake Off, and 60 Minute Make Over. We have also worked on fun projects with Heart and Absolute Radio, and we set a Guinness World Record for the ‘Fastest Time to Decorate a Christmas Tree’ on ITV’s Let’s Do Christmas with Gino & Mel.

From towns and cities to shopping centres, retail parks, and hospitality venues, each design is created to evoke the magic of Christmas. We tailor our designs to fit our clients’ specific spaces and needs, helping them increase sales and footfall in the key Christmas season.
We excel at bringing the magic of Santa to children throughout the UK, creating grottos and winter wonderlands that capture the spirit of Christmas.
When Covid-19 struck and threatened to spoil Christmas, Christmas Creations turned the situation into an opportunity. We created a display that provided hope and honoured those who had given so much.
The outdoor Christmas Rainbow Trail at Paddington Central featured the seven colours of the rainbow, a symbol of the NHS during the pandemic. Christmas trees lit in rainbow colours were arranged in clusters on plinths painted to match.
Each tree had a neon word promoting optimism. The trees served as a backdrop for selfies and created a great photo opportunity as visitors explored the area. At the heart of this display was a huge rainbow of baubles intertwined with colour-changing lights that marked the start of the trail.
To support the local NHS, donation points were set up to raise funds for the dedication of the staff. This initiative received praise from clients and visitors and was featured in the local news.

Christmas comes but once a year
While this may be true for most, Christmas is a year-round passion for us. Our team works hard, coming up with new concepts and ideas. We frequently visit art galleries, exhibitions, and installations to gather inspiration.
An annual visit to the Christmasworld exhibition in Frankfurt is a highlight for us. It’s a chance to meet suppliers, see the latest trends, and soak up festive vibes.
Christmas Creations spends the year planning, so when it comes time for installations, we have it down to a fine art. We work quietly through the night like magical elves, adding the perfect festive touch.
